Main Features of the Utility] This utility enables administrators to configure the management functions on KYOCERA MITA printing systems from their computer. This utility acquires accounting information from a network printing system using the SNMP protocol. The information is stored and managed in a Microsoft Access MDB file. [2. Operating System Requirements and Notes for Installation] - Please update your operating system with the latest service pack for best results. - This utility does not support LPT, COM, or USB connections. - For a network connection, please verify that TCP/IP is installed. 2-1. Microsoft Windows 95, 95 OSR2, and 98 operating systems are not supported. 2-2. Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 is not supported. 2-3. The Microsoft Windows 2000 and Windows XP operating systems require Administrators rights for installation. 2-4. In Microsoft Windows Vista, first uninstall any older version of KM-Net for Accounting before installing the software. The relevant database is stored in a folder that is specific to the user account. Therefore, the software is available only to the user account under which the installation is done. [3. Frequently Asked Questions] Q: Why doesn't it connect to the printing system? A1: This utility does not support LPT, COM, or USB connections. You must use it in a TCP/IP network environment. A2: Does the printing system support the accounting feature? This utility cannot connect to a printing system that does not support the accounting feature. Q: Is the accounting information stored in the printing system different from the information stored in the utility?
